Obtaining the Spell
Minimum Blue Mage Level Needed To Acquire Spell: Level 32
MP Drainkiss is best hunted in the Pashhow Marshlands.

This spell can be safely soloed with no issues when you can learn it at 32.

Bring a low damage weapon to feed the Leech TP helps a lot.

Leech Hunting Grounds Camp #1
Name Level Location
Thread Leech 19-22 Pashhow Marshlands

The Best place to hunt Leech class mobs is in Pashhow Marshlands. There are a lot of spawn points all around the March, with a concentration at F-5 near the Hoaxmarsh.

At Level 32 when you can learn the spell, you will face some aggro from Quadav, Goblins, Goobbue and Molboro. Nothing you can't easily deal with, but it can be annoying. Most of the aggro mobs can be avoided. Or you can wait a few levels and have zero issues. Grab a low damage weapon, and start to beat on Thread Leeches until one gives you your spell. The Leeches can link, so take care.

The Leeches here are level 22 at best, so you will have no issues soloing them. They have a ton of TP moves, so bring a sandwich, it can take a long time to see the move.

And many more... 50-78 All about

There are no shortage of other Leeches around the world. All of the lower ones make good targets, but often there are very few to kill in the areas, making them less then the best camps. The Higher ones will take a party to kill, so they are not recommended.

Special notes about the spell a Blue Mage may like to know
Can I solo it? Yes. You should have no problems by level 32 in camp #1
Do I need any special items? No, but Eye Drops can be a small help. A low damage weapon to feed the monster TP is useful.
Do Leeches like to use the move? They have eight TP moves, it can take a very long time to see it.
Oddly The drain from this spell seems to have a higher chance of being resisted during the day.
